We provide the most comprehensive programs both in Basketball and in Youth Athletic Development. All of our programs are designed and coached by Coach Aleks. His educational background in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine as well as his professional background in Basketball and Performance Training is what sets him and all of our programs apart. His dedication in educating, motivating, and inspiring our youth are unmatched.
Dominate Youth Basketball & Athletic Development Progressive Coaching Philosophy focuses on building each of the fundamental skills and on engaging the players individually and collectively. We believe in the principles of Progressive Coaching. Progressive Coaching is to challenge and engage each player individually in order to achieve the best results. Each of our programs is specifically tailored. Our Player Development Curriculum takes the player through progressive development techniques based on their mastery of basketball and movement skills as opposed to their age, grade in school or physical attributes. This scientific approach allows the players to master the individual skills, develop physical literacy, learn basketball vocabulary and build the needed movement and confidence to optimize their basketball potential.
Skills Trainings
There are many different components to the game of basketball. Ball Handling & Dribbling, Footwork, Passing & Receiving, Shooting, Rebounding, Screening, Team Defensive Concepts & Team Offensive Concepts. In our skills training we focus on developing the basic skills and fundamentals of basketball. We use a structured progressive system to advance each fundamental skill and build team concepts. Each player in a group will possess their strengths and weaknesses, and rarely will all players be on the same level in all categories. Based on the level of basketball (recreational programs, travel teams, AAU) and each player’s skill set, we will determine how we will coach and manage the group throughout the season.

Dominate Youth Basketball AAU Teams in New Jersey are for our most serious and competitive players. These teams are created for players in New Jersey, New York and the Tri-State area that are looking to advance their skills and game all year round. Continued improvement of the basic skills and fundamentals as well as developing team concepts are emphasized. In addition to the continued development of the individual basketball fundamental skills, establishing and developing defensive team concepts and offensive team concepts are crucial. Competitive drills, decision making drills, building trust and communication all play a significant part in building a successful team. Teams are formed through mandatory basketball tryouts in New Jersey and are built by skill level. Team practices of twice per week are mandatory. We believe that consistency is key and we schedule our team trainings based on this approach. Additionally, Dominate Youth Basketball will be offering Skills Training Sessions and Youth Athletic Development Programs in New Jersey catered to further enhance the athletic abilities and basketball skill levels for our players.

Dominate Youth Basketball & Athletic Development offers a positive alternative. To be healthy, children need to be active and they need real social interaction. At Dominate Youth Basketball & Athletic Development we provide sport development opportunities for young athletes to gain regular exercise and develop social skills. We implement the importance of communication, fitness and making healthy choices. Our programs focus on athletic skills development as well as promoting the importance of key life skills.
